We think you'd struggle to find a more perfect backdrop for your Alpine holiday. There's room for everyone on the large sofa, whether you are settling down to watch a film on the surround sound TV, chatting about your day or relaxing with a drink. Gamers will appreciate the PS Now subscription, with access to 700 games, and there are also Netflix, Prime and Disney+ subscriptions. You'll have access to a digital film library and great music, thanks to the Sonos sound system in every room. A huge water tank has been installed to gather mountain rainwater, making the chalet completely self-sufficient for water.

There is parking for two cars at Chalet Blanc, and a rapid electric car charger. Those choosing to work remotely will find three workspaces each with a PC connected to ultrafast broadband. For a small village, Cordon packs a big punch for winter sports. Mountain golf courses offer something a little bit special – fabulous views, clean crisp air and some challenging terrain. A large desk will allow you to work from home.

📍 Location

• The nearby ski room has a heated boot warmer
• You can drive to the village’s family-friendly slopes in five minutes, or take the shuttle bus, which stops just below the chalet
• There’s plenty more skiing a little further afield – a 10-minute drive will take you to the Évasion Mont-Blanc area of Combloux, Megève, and Saint-Gervais
• Beyond that, 30 minutes away, there’s the Espace Diamant, linking Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Volant, Flumet, and Saisies, which hosted the winter Olympics in 1992
• Other winter sports just minutes away from Chalet Blanc include dog-sledding and snow-shoe walking
• In the summer, there is just as much to do – the mountains are a magnet for walkers, cyclists and golfers
• There are several golf courses to choose from within an easy drive of Chalet Blanc, including the Mont-d’Arbois course at Megève, and the famous Chamonix course
• There are 80km of walking trails around Cordon itself, taking in waterfalls, farms and lush green pastures
