Val Thorens is Europe’s highest ski resort, at an altitude of 2,300m and, thanks to its location within Les Trois Vallees ski area, you have 600km of piste available to you including right from your doorstep.

After a day enjoying the delights of the Three Valleys, return to the spa at Chalet Desir to soak in the vast hot tubs, get steamy in the hammam or swim a few laps of the pool.

After you’ve soothed those tired muscles, Chalet Thorens’s private chef will serve up the best of international cuisine in the dining room while you select something special from the private wine cellar.

If you don’t fancy heading out to enjoy Val Thoren’s famous après-ski scene, there’s plenty to keep you entertained inside. Take a race around the track in the Formula One simulator, challenge your friends to a game of simulated golf or pull up a beanbag and enjoy a movie in the cinema room. Then all you need do is retire to the romantic bedrooms with timbered ceilings, private balconies and spa-like bathrooms. Heaven!
